Overview
The upcoming gaming console PlayStation 5 uses AMD 7nm Zen 2 CPU with 16GB of GDDR6 SDRAM. It will come with two variants, one as a base PlayStation 5 which is compatible with Blu-ray optical drive, and a low-cost variant that lacks an optical drive. Only the base variant is compatible with Ultra HD Blu-Ray, Blu-Ray, DVD, or CD. It comes with a Custom AMD RDNA 2 GPU that is capable of Ray Tracing and supports 4K Display Resolution or High Framerates and new audio card for real-time 3D sound effects. Further, PS5 features massive custom storage of 825GB Solid State Drive. It could be expected that PlayStation 5 will launch at the end of the year 2020.
